Kathmandu: The Communist Party of Nepal (Revolutionary Maoist) Chairman Mohan Baidya ‘Kiran’ has issued a press statement on the occasion of 22nd anniversary of the People’s War (PW) in Nepal. Stating that the right opportunist deviation in party’s main leadership was the reason behind the setback of PW even after reaching to strategic offensive stage, Kiran said that his party has currently been marching ahead after divorcing and rebelling from such deviation.
Paying tributes to the great martyrs of the PW, and paying respect to families of those disappeared and injured, Kiran said, “Now, the problem of right revisionism has reached to a climax in the communist movement. In the current situation, the meaning of marking the 22nd PW in Nepal will be justified only by intensifying preparation for revolution to establish new democratic state as an alternative to the present Federal Democratic Republic, by exposing right revisionism and by unifying all genuine revolutionary forces.’
“In order to achieve this goal, it is necessary to strengthen the party’s tactic, policy and program under the guiding principle of MLM by criticizing past mistakes, weaknesses through a scientific way and to march ahead in the direction towards revolution in the future,” the statement read.
