Kathmandu, October 6, 2016. Mohan Baidya ‘Kiran’, Chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (Revolutionary Maoist) tagged the 25-point statement that Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ had signed with the Indian ruling class during his India visit on September 16, 2016 as anti-national and stressed on the need to take to the streets against it.
He said that there remained no alternative for the entire patriots and republicans to fight unitedly. As a main speaker of the interaction programme titled “25-point joint statement and national betray,” organised in Kathmandu on Thursday by Patriotic People’s Republican Front of Nepal on October 6, 2016, he had said it. He added, the “Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, has betrayed the nation by putting thumbprint upon the entire unequal treaties including BIPPA, PTA, Upper Karnali, Arun-III.”
By mentioning Nepal-India relation as specific in the statement, PM Dahal has accepted Indian big brother concept, he claimed. He reiterated that agreeing to make common views on the international issues in the statement has oriented Nepal towards Bhutanization.
In the program, Workers’ Peasants Party Chairman Narayanman Bijukchchhe, CPN (ML) General Secretary CP Mainali, Janamorcha Chairman Sadhya Bahadur Bhandari, Standing Committee Member of CPN (Maoist) Dharmendra Bastola, Spokesperson of CPN (Mashal) Bimal Sharma, among others, stressed on the need to struggle against the 25-point joint statement.
The program, which was chaired by the chairman of Patriotic People’s Republican Front of Nepal, CP Gajurel, was conducted by Front Secretary, Pari Thapa.
