काठमाडौं । दक्षिण एशियाका २२ विद्यार्थी संगठनहरूले संयुक्त वक्तव्य जारी गर्दै इरानमाथि संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका र इजरायलद्वारा गरिएको सैन्य आक्रमणको निन्दा गरेका छन् । उक्त वक्तव्यमा सैन्य हस्तक्षेपको अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय रूपमा विरोध गर्न र इरानी जनताप्रति ऐक्यबद्धता व्यक्त गर्न आह्वान गरिएको छ ।
मार्च १० मा सार्वजनिक गरिएको घोषणामा ती संगठनहरूले इरानमा भएका आक्रमणप्रति चिन्ता व्यक्त गरेका छन् । वक्तव्यमा मिनाबस्थित शारजाह तैय्यबेह छात्रा विद्यालयमा गरिएको बम आक्रमणमा १६० भन्दा बढी बालबालिकाको मृत्यु भएको दाबी गरिएको छ । संगठनहरूले यस घटनालाई गम्भीर मानवीय त्रासदी भन्दै अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय समुदायको ध्यानाकर्षण गराएका छन् ।
वक्तव्यमा इरानका सर्वोच्च नेता आयातोल्लाह अली खामेनीको हत्यालाई पनि उल्लेख गर्दै यसलाई राष्ट्रिय सार्वभौमिकता र अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय कानुनको उल्लङ्घन बताइएको छ । इरानभित्र जारी राजनीतिक तनावलाई स्वीकार गर्दै संगठनहरूले आन्तरिक राजनीतिक समस्या विदेशी सैन्य हस्तक्षेपबाट होइन, इरानी जनताले आफैं समाधान गर्नुपर्ने बताएका छन् ।
बंगलादेश, भारत, नेपाल, पाकिस्तान र श्रीलंकाका २२ विद्यार्थी संगठनहरूले उक्त वक्तव्यमा समर्थन जनाउँदै विश्वभरका विद्यार्थी, युवा आन्दोलन तथा प्रगतिशील संगठनहरूलाई युद्धको विरोध गर्न र शान्ति तथा लोकतान्त्रिक अधिकारको पक्षमा उभिन आह्वान गरेका छन् ।
STAND AGAINST THE US-ISRAEL MILITARY ATTACK ON IRAN
JOINT STATEMENT OF 22 STUDENTS’ ORGANISATIONS OF SOUTH ASIA
We stand today as a collective against the recent military escalation by the United States and Israel against the sovereign nation of Iran. It has reached such a level of depravity that the democratic people throughout the world can no longer be silent. The bombing of the Shajareh Tayyebeh girls’ school in Minab, which claimed the lives of over 143 innocent children, is not “collateral damage.” It is a war crime. The assassination of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran, in a targeted strike in his office, represents a brazen violation of international law and national sovereignty.
For years we have watched the systematic erosion of Palestinian life, and now that same machinery is being turned toward Iran. It is the brutal face of imperialist aggression, designed to establish absolute control over the Middle East through blood and fire. The United States has declared that aggression against virtually any country could take place, at any time. Venezuela is a clear example of this.
The people of Iran were fighting against the authoritarian rule of Khameini. Women were protesting for freedom. In any situation the people of a country should have the right to decide their internal politics. No sovereign country can be invaded in the name of liberating its’ people. Oppression by a domestic tyrant cannot be resolved by foreign intervention. We denounce Donald Trump’s declaration to ‘free’ the country and instead, call it out for the act of imperialism that it is.
This is a crucial moment for all who believe in democracy, peace, and human dignity through out the world. People who fight for democracy must wake up! We call upon students, youth, and progressive forces across the world to stand against US-Israeli aggression, and in solidarity with the people of Iran.
