Kathmandu: In an interaction program organized to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the October Revolution, leaders of three communist parties have stressed on the need of unification among the genuine revolutionaries.
The Chairman of CPN (Revolutionary Maoist) Mohan Baidya, the General Secretary of Communist Party of Nepal Biplap and the General Secretary of CPN (Masal) Mohan Bikram Singh made this remark.
On the occasion, Revolutionary Maoist Chairman Baidya said, “Unification among the communist revolutionaries that have same ideology, line and program is the need of the hour.”
Claiming that there is no sense to remain apart if the parties have same ideology, strategy and program, he suggested the CPN (UML) and CPN (Maoist Centre) to unite.
Some splits in the history of communist movement had taken place due to differences in ideology, line and program but some splits had occurred because of self-centred ego on the part of leadership,Baidya commented.
Stating that right revisionism and opportunism are great challenges for the revolution in Nepal, Baidyasaid that such threat would be defeated after the unification ofgenuine communists. He further suggested that the revolutionaries should be aware of the leftist opportunism as well.
In the same program, the General Secretary of the CPN, Biplap, stressed on the need of unification among revolutionaries to overcome right revisionism in the communist movement.
Claiming that right revisionism has beenthe great challenge, the General Secretary of CPN (Masal), Mohan Bikram Singh, said Prachanda-led CPN (MC) and UML are the main problems beforethe communist movement in Nepal.
He further stressed on the need to developtactical unity among three communist parties by solving theoretical and political differences among them.
Though there seems no possibility of unification with other communist parties, a great message could be delivered if these three communist parties were unified, said Ganesh Shah, the Chairman of CPN (United).
CPN (ML) General Secretary CP Mainali, CPN Chairman Rishi Kattel, Janamorcha Chairman SadhyaBahadurBhandari, among others had put forth their views on the same program.
