Kathmandu – The Communist Party of Nepal (Revolutionary Maoist) has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the demise of former Cuban President and a revolutionary leader Fidel Castro, who died on Friday at the age of 90.
Issuing a condolence message, the party Chairman Mohan Baidya said, “After his demise, not only Cuba, the world has lost the genuine patriot.”
“New government was established after demolishing old government in Cuba under the leadership of Castro. The US imperialism came up with many futile attempts to overthrow his regime. But, he strongly opposed imperialism and stood firmly in favor of Cuba’s national independence,” writes the statement.
Further, he grieved over the demise of Castro and expressed his sincere condolences to the bereaved Cuban people.
