Kathmandu: Patriotic People’s Republican Front, Nepal has warned of stern protests if the government doesn’t withdraw the decision of increasing price of petroleum products.

The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) had recently decided to increase price of diesel, petrol and kerosene by Rs. 4.50 per litre effective from Tuesday.

The press statement issued by PPRF-N Chairman CP Gajurel states, “Our attention has been drawn by the decision of increment in the price of petroleum products. We strongly demand the government to withdraw the decision. If the government turns a deaf ear to our demand, we will be obliged to launch stern protests against the move.”

Nepalese people, who are suffering from financial scarcity and price hike of daily essentials, will be hit hard by the increment in price hike of the petro products, the statement adds.
