Biratnagar: Three Communist parties have staged a protest program against the consular office that was illegally established by India with its troops in Biratnagar, on Saturday.  Organizing the protest nearby the consular office, leaders of three communist parties strongly demanded to remove the office at the earliest.

Addressing the program, senior leader of CPN (Revolutionary Maoist), CP Gajurel said that the office will be removed at any cost. Indicating to police nearby, he said, “Don’t worry, this is just a symbolic protest to get the office removed, but, if our demand isn’t heard immediately, hundreds of thousands of Nepalese people will gather here and get it removed.”  “That time, people might come with arms,” he claimed.

Meanwhile, protestors clashed with police while they were heading towards consular office via Traffic Chowk, Democratic Chowk from Biratnagar’s main bazaar. The clash erupted after police tried to stop the protestors moving ahead the office near Salt Trading’s Office.

The protest program was addressed by CPN (Maoist) leader Dharmendra Bastola, Masal’s leader Meena Pun, among others. They also committed to get the consular office removed from there. The program, conducted by Jamanorcha’s Bishal Pahaadi, was chaired by Revolutionary Maoist’s Kochila InCharge, Kedar Guragain.

Thousands of people had participated in the protest. Indian expansionist’s puppet government in Nepal had deployed hundreds of police force to make the program ineffective.
