Kathmandu: Democratic People’s Republic Front, Nepal, Chairman and the senior leader of the CPN (Revolutionary Maoist), CP Gajurel, has blamed that the present coalition is driving Nepal towards Sikkimization in the name of Constitution amendment.
Addressing the corner meeting organized by Newa State of the Party in Ratnapark, Kathmandu, on Friday, leader Gajurel said, “Constitution is being amended. This is a design to drive Nepal towards Sikkimization and is an act of national betrayal. In fact, this Constitution is a regressive and an anti-people document, so it must be completely scrapped.”
Stating that the government has increased pay and perks of the lawmakers to make them sign such an anti-people and anti-national Constitution, Gajurel claimed, “This is just like bribing lawmakers to collect their signatures to amend the regressive Constitution.”
He also blamed that Prachanda-Baburam clique has surrendered to Indian ruling class and turned national capitulationist. It has been proved so, as Prachanda government provided a national holiday in Nepal when one of the leaders of Indian expansionist ruling class that had imposed a five-month economic blockade in Nepal arrived at Kathmandu.
“If there is no country, we will not have any national independence,” he said, “In order to save our national sovereignty, we must develop a national liberation movement in Nepal by uniting entire patriotic, republican and revolutionary forces.” “All democratic patriots must be conscious now,” he further added.
“Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba’s meeting at Goa, India, with Tibetan Prime Minister-in-exile Lobsang Sangaya has raised a serious question on Nepal’s policy on One- China” he noted. “Prachanda’s design to avert Xi Jinping’s visit to Nepal and Deuba’s meeting with Tibetan leader has raised serious concern on Sino-Nepal relation” he said. “We cannot and must not deviate from One-China Policy. The present coalition of Deuba and Prachanda has been working in glove with US imperialism and Indian expansionism to make Nepal a battleground,” he claimed.
“Time has come to prepare for decisive movement by waking up all patriotic people of Nepal,” he said, “The upcoming movement must be victorious.”
All unequal treaties with India including 1950 Treaty and 25-point joint statement must be scrapped,” he asserted, “Time has come to prepare for decisive revolution.” He also said that the CPN (Revolutionary Maoist) is prepared for leading such revolution.
