Nepal Communist Party (Revolutionary Maoist) affiliated Nepal National University Teacher’s Organization President Prof. Dr. Jagdish Chandra Bhandari, All Nepal National Peoples Cultural Federation General Secretary Hiramani Dukhi, National Revolutionary Intellectual’s Organization, Nepal’s president Hukum Bahadur Singh and Federation of Revolutionary Journalists president Indra Raut has put strong demand with Government of India to release famous indian peoples writer and revolutionary Poet Varavara Rao who has been detained by the Government of India with false cases from 2018.
In the statement it is clearly mentioned that Poet Varavara Rao spent 40 years of his life in teaching Telugu Literature, he is a writer of 15 different Poetry books and one of the most revolutionary who has been spending his 60 years of his life for the cause indian revolution and a dedicated personality having 81years of age . The Indian government has taken him with false cases and put him in jail since 2018 . At present his health has been deteriorating and is very delicate. The Indian Government is not serious about his health and seems they want to see him dying in the jail
Families of poet Rao, Indian pro–people Intellectuals, including 98 distinguished University Professors demanding for the releae of Varvara Rao and Nepal’s pro people culture writers and intellectuals also raised their voices in their statement by saying that the latest news came so far his health is being detoriating with covid 19 and the Indian Government has not serious about his life and treatment. This shows that the government of India is insensitive and inhuman about the health of the people towards those who are taking revolutionary path. This is a very serious for the people of the world who has been fighting for the cause of justice of oppressed people oriented thoughts. This has made us very serious
The statement issued on 17th July 2020 by Nepal Communist Party(Revolutionary Maoist) affiliated four organizations, cleared written ” we will have a strong objection with indian government on its inhuman behavior with poet Rao and demands for the release of Poet Rao and save his life .we Nepalese intellectuals are with the Indian jurist personalities, and the world-renowned intellectuals who are demanding the release of poet Varavara Rao and also provide the necessary arrangements for his treatment of covid 19. “
